I have also been hired to do training on test usage and interpretation, as well as on how to interpret the results of statistical analysis. Projects have included:

• White Crow Software Productions is a small software firm developing a suite of educational software designed to assist in the teaching of item response theory. Introductory instruction in Delphi and Perl is also available.

1990-1991:

Project Director, Adaptive Test Development, Assessment Systems Corporation, St. Paul, MN

• Directed the nation-wide development of a computerized adaptive test battery designed to measure basic math and reading skills; and used as a screening and diagnostic device for applicants to vocational-technical programs.
• Managed the staff of 10, providing guidance, supervision, feedback, and direction.
• Designed and implemented the data collection, instrument design, item generation, and test construction.
• Designed and conducted the data analysis.
• Responsible for coordinated of satellite sites and negotiated to obtain new data collection sites.

1987-1988, 1989-1990:

Research Coordinator, Vocational Assessment Project, University of Minnesota, MN.

• Coordinated the research projects for the Vocational Assessment Project (VAP). The largest project was the development of a parallel form of the Dept. of Labor’s General Aptitude Test Battery.
• Helped design and conduct all data analysis, item writing, test design, and data collection.
• Provided feedback to other team members on how the subtests could be improved.
• Computerized the assessment and record-keeping procedures for the Vocational Assessment Clinic
• Responsible for the installation, care, and upkeep of the VAP microcomputers.
• Other projects included the identification of reinforcer patterns found in post-employment activities among retirees, and the development of the Minnesota Occupational Classification System-III.

1985-1987:

Assistant Director, Vocational Psychology Research, University of Minnesota, MN.

• Designed and conducted research on the various instruments.
• Assisted end-users with research design and data analysis.
• Migrated existing mainframe software to PC environment.
• Wrote scoring programs for the three most popular VPR assessment instruments including the most frequently used measure of job satisfaction. The program scored scanned preformatted answer sheets then produced detailed diagnostic reports, which were returned to the clients.
• Coordinated scoring of, and research on, the Minnesota Importance Questionnaire, Minnesota Satisfactoriness Scale, and the Minnesota Job Description Questionnaire
• Designed and maintained database system to facilitate future data access and analysis.
